[08:06] <stellar-slack> dumm dee dumm
[14:47] <stellar-slack> Morning all! I'm trying to get stellar-core running. I've pulled the code, build and am running it with `docs/stellar-core_testnet.cfg`. It says `Got consensus: [seq=333201..` but when I look in stellar.db `txhistory` is empty. There are 119 accounts in there though. Any ideas?
[14:48] <stellar-slack> @mason: sounds like it might be working to me
[14:48] <stellar-slack> send a tx and see if it gets in there
[14:49] <stellar-slack> Cool! Do I need to setup horizon to send transactions?
[14:50] <stellar-slack> no you could just use friend bot to get some lumens
[14:51] <stellar-slack> How do I do that? (sorry I can document all this once I get it going)
[14:52] <stellar-slack> no worries. our docs are terrible right now
[14:52] <stellar-slack> but use this:
[14:52] <stellar-slack> https://horizon-testnet.stellar.org
[14:53] <stellar-slack> you can make an address with `stellar-core --genseed`
[14:56] <stellar-slack> cool genseed looked like it worked but:
[14:56] <stellar-slack> curl -X POST https://horizon-testnet.stellar.org/friendbot?address=GBX275SRHH6463WJB7VDYJIBRVFON5PEEGUVAHVHJWCNGKTCS3A6OXAW
[14:56] <stellar-slack> {"type":"server_error","status":500,"title":"Internal Server Error","instance":"request://7f87d861-47d6-4f6b-93c6-26830e3303f0"}%
[14:58] <stellar-slack> I mason other option you can go to https://www.stellar.org/galaxy/ scroll down to start
[14:58] <stellar-slack> it will hit the freind bot that will provide you 1000 lumens
[15:01] <stellar-slack> That worked! I've got transactions in txhistory now! Thanks guys
[15:02] <stellar-slack> cool glad to here it's working
[15:04] <stellar-slack> So you only store transactions relevant to your node?
[15:04] <stellar-slack> oh maybe your history seen is just the lumens you just had the bot send you
[15:05] <stellar-slack> no I think the history is just what was seen when you started your stellar-core
[15:05] <stellar-slack> Ohhhh
[15:05] <stellar-slack> So things are still pretty quiet on testnet :)
[15:05] <stellar-slack> did you send any other transactions?
[15:05] <stellar-slack> I'll try again
[15:06] <stellar-slack> I hope to be soon sending some if my ruby software starts working on horizon
[15:06] <stellar-slack> yeah well it's difficult to send transactions right now cause the lslib and testnet horizon dont work together..
[15:07] <stellar-slack> at least it was the case on friday
[15:07] <stellar-slack> don't know if they fixed it
[15:07] <stellar-slack> *lslib = jslib
[15:08] <stellar-slack> there is a branch that I think is working for jslib not released on stellar I can provide you
[15:08] <stellar-slack> they should fix and keep the respective master branches comptaible with eathother
[15:09] <stellar-slack> buhrmi: was taking a wack at integrating it with jslib
[15:09] <stellar-slack> what they should do and do do is two different things
[15:11] <stellar-slack> I got in late at the wrong time when they did many changes in base and other that I failed to get a handle on but I've almost have a working set
[15:13] <stellar-slack> @buhrmi @sacarlson I updated js-stellar-lib to work with horizon 2 days ago. just pull master and it should work.
[15:14] <stellar-slack> @bartek: aaawesome :)
[15:14] <stellar-slack> cool
[15:15] <stellar-slack> bartek so does that include the base64 changes that fredolafritte had in his branch?
[15:16] <stellar-slack> https://github.com/FredericHeem/js-stellar-base
[15:16] <stellar-slack> I haven’t checked fredolafritte yet but yes, js-stellar-lib now include base64 transaction blob encoding
[15:17] <stellar-slack> ok lets try it then
[15:17] <stellar-slack> is it tested?
[15:18] <stellar-slack> yes, it should work. the only thing you might need to change is all occurences of `Currency` class. we have changed to `Asset`.
[15:20] <stellar-slack> good change
[15:20] <stellar-slack> so lets see a transaction then, are you ready to try it buhrmi?
[15:21] <stellar-slack> nah, i'm chilling and watching avengers
[15:21] <stellar-slack> will be in the office in 10 hours or so :P
[15:21] <stellar-slack> ha ha ok
[15:21] <stellar-slack> gonna sleep so
[15:21] <stellar-slack> soon
[15:22] <stellar-slack> @bartek is there anything that prevent my fixes to be merged ?
[15:22] <stellar-slack> On js-stellar-base
[15:23] <stellar-slack> @fredolafritte I returned from vacation on Thursday. I’m catching up on things, will check your PR next week.
[15:24] <stellar-slack> Enjoy your remaining holiday then
[15:24] <stellar-slack> but looking at a description it should be good. ex. we discussed "remove dist and lib directory” 2 days ago with the team.
[15:30] <stellar-slack> I could be wrong but I see hex in your last change var xdr = op.toXDR("hex");
[15:35] <stellar-slack> unless horizon converts hex to base64 before it sends it to stellar-core?
[16:27] <stellar-slack> ok I've now tried to create an account from horizon in both hex and base64 but I get return!': 404 Resource Not Found in both cases with my code
[16:32] <stellar-slack> base64 with my code was working to my local stellar-core but I will again verify tomaro
